Product Characteristics
Hi-Tec Zinc Oxide Grease employs a calcium soap thickener combined with selected paraffinic and naphthenic base oils, rust, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors and extreme pressure additives. It can be used as a multi-purpose grease for many applications (up to 110oC). It protects moving parts against wear from shock loads in high load service conditions. Hi-Tec Zinc Oxide Grease prevents scuffing and further assists in wear prevention due to the high-performance EP additives.
Product Performance
Zinc Oxide Grease is a premium quality, NLGI 3, multi-purpose, water-resistant grease for use in industrial and marine applications where the presence of water and humid atmospheres can effect lubricating performance and be detrimental to the corrosion protection of components. It is further enhanced with a special additive that provides additional protection and lubrication when excessive levels of water are prevalent such as water pumping equipment. It is suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings.
Due to its extremely high water resistance, Zinc Oxide Grease is recommended for plain and anti-friction
bearings, automotive, marine and industrial applications under service conditions where the presence of
water or humidity can effect lubricant performance.
Hi-Tec suggests that the equipment manufacturers’ recommendations for grade, performance
requirements and general operating conditions should be checked prior to use. Zinc Oxide Grease
can be applied manually, or by using a standard grease gun. As with all greases used for the first
time, check compatibility with the grease applied previously and if necessary clean equipment prior
to application. Likewise, as a general rule, take care not to over-lubricate and apply the quantity of
grease recommended by the manufacture
