Limited Slip Additive is a friction modifier which can be used to supplement sulphur-phosphorous gear oil additives for limited-slip performance.
Meets the performance requirements of major automotive manufacturers including Ford M2C118A, Arvin Meritor, Dana 40819, Daimler Chrysler MS 5630 and ZF TE-ML 05C, 12C and 16E.
Limited Slip Additive is a balanced formulation for use in conjunction with various lubricant additives.
Limited Slip Additive is compatible with GL-5, J2360 and MIL-PRF-2105E gear lubricants.
1. What is Limited Slip Additive used for?
Limited Slip Additive (LSA) is designed to eliminate chatter, noise, and vibration in limited slip differentials by improving friction modification and clutch engagement smoothness.
2. When should I add LSA to my differential?
You should add LSA whenever a limited slip differential shows symptoms such as shuddering, chattering, or grabbing during cornering.
3. Is this additive compatible with all gear oils?
Yes. LSA is compatible with most mineral and synthetic gear oils used in limited slip differentials (GL-5 or manufacturer-specified).
4. How much LSA should be used?
Use according to the differential manufacturer’s recommendations. Typically, one bottle treats standard limited slip units.
5. Will this affect the oil’s viscosity?
No. LSA does not significantly alter the viscosity or performance rating of the gear oil.
