1. What is DCT Fluid used for?
DCT Fluid is formulated specifically for dual-clutch (DSG/Getrag/ZF style) transmissions and is designed to deliver smooth, fast shifts, anti-shudder performance and long clutch life in dual-clutch gearboxes.
2. Which vehicles commonly require DCT Fluid?
Many modern European and Asian models — Audi, VW, BMW (Getrag), Mercedes, Ford (some models), Porsche (DCT variations), Renault, Mitsubishi and others that specify DCT or DSG fluids.
3. Can I use regular ATF in a DCT?
No. DCT/DSG gearboxes require fluids with specific friction and shear characteristics. Using a non-approved ATF can cause harsh shifts, clutch wear or transmission damage. Always use the manufacturer-specified DCT fluid.
